Seitan doner kebab

Doner kebab is a Turkish dish that's usually made with meat cooked on a vertical spit and accompanied by fresh vegetables. In this vegetarian version, we make it with thinly sliced seitan.

Instructions

Wash the vegetables. Cut the cucumber and tomato into thin slices. Chop the lettuce. Cut the onion into thin slices. Finely chop the garlic and dill. Set aside.

For the dressing: mix the yoghurt, the milk, the juice of the lemon, the garlic and dill in a bowl. Season to taste and mix it well.

Cut the seitan into thin slices. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan and sauté the seitan until it starts to brown. Turn off the heat and add the soy sauce. Mix it until the seitan has absorbed the sauce. In the same pan, heat the pita breads on both sides.
